YG Entertainment has adopted Google Workspace's AI solution 'Gemini' to build the industry's first advanced enterprise AI collaboration platform in the entertainment sector. It plans to maximize productivity and accelerate work innovation by combining core internal work tools with AI.
The new platform automated data analysis and workflows by organically consolidating essential collaboration tools such as Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets and Drive with AI. In particular, by actively using multimodal AI tailored to an industry that handles images, videos and music, it drastically reduced the time required in early creative stages such as idea generation, concept planning and storyboard production.
To protect sensitive core assets such as artist IP and contracts, a "YG dedicated tenant" environment was created to prevent internal data from being leaked into external model training. In addition to infrastructure construction, it is also accelerating efforts to strengthen employees' voluntary AI usage capabilities by holding specialized workshops for employees and internal hackathons.
YG Entertainment said the company is "combining process automation based on department-specific AI agents with a robust enterprise security environment to simultaneously raise operational productivity and employees' AI capabilities, completing a next-generation work ecosystem."
It also stressed that "the construction of this enterprise AI platform is meaningful beyond the mere introduction of AI tools, as it has completed a next-generation work innovation system that combines security and efficiency," and added, "We will continue to develop an AI-centered way of working so employees can concentrate their capabilities on creative content production."
