On social media and online communities, people refer to overly expressed emotions compared with the unfairness as the "Park Wi state." It is interpreted as a term describing a situation where one has reason to be angry at another's wrongdoing, and even after receiving an apology for that wrongdoing, cannot contain their anger.
It is also used to describe acts of inflating trivial matters to provoke others' criticism or to get angry over very small things, and a temperament that cannot hold back anger over minor matters, so Park Wi's controversy is being used as a "meme." Because Park Wi had long promoted disability awareness and exerted positive influence through the "WIRACLE" channel, this controversy is expected to deal a heavy blow to his image and be a major obstacle to a comeback.
