Comedian Park So-young and former baseball player Moon Kyung-chan welcomed their first daughter.
Park So-young announced the birth herself on her social media on Aug. 28, writing "Mary is born. Aug. 28, 1:07 p.m." The photo she shared shows Park So-young holding her newborn daughter tightly at the hospital.
She endured a painful 30 hours of labor before giving birth. Park So-young said, "After 30 hours of labor with induced delivery, I pushed three times and poof, Mary was born," recounting the moment.
After a long labor she met her daughter safely and did not forget to thank the medical staff. She said, "Thanks to the real support from our hospital staff, it succeeded," and expressed her overwhelmed feelings, saying, "Thank you, Mary, for making me forget the pain. Please take care of us from now on."
In the released first mother-and-daughter photo, Park So-young draws attention by smiling at the camera while holding her daughter even though it was immediately after childbirth.
Park So-young plans to release footage of the birth process. She said the scene of Mary being born will be released next week on Channel A YouTube channel "Jubuwaesseoyong," drawing interest.
