Singer Son Dong-pyo is leaving DSP Media Co.
On the 26th, agency DSP Media Co. said via its official social media, "We sincerely thank the fans who have always given generous support and love to artist Son Dong-pyo," and announced that the exclusive contract ended that day.
On that day DSP Media Co. said, "Ahead of the end of the exclusive contract, the company engaged in long and in-depth discussions with Son Dong-pyo about his future activities, and after careful mutual consultations, we decided to end the exclusive contract upon expiration of the contract period without renewing it," the company said.
Accordingly, with the end of the exclusive contract, Son Dong-pyo concluded his eight-year journey with DSP Media Co.
DSP Media Co. said, "We sincerely thank Son Dong-pyo for the time he spent with DSP Media Co., and we sincerely support his future as he prepares for a new start," adding, "Please continue to show unwavering interest and support for Son Dong-pyo's new journey."
Meanwhile, Son Dong-pyo appeared on Mnet's 2019 survival show "Produce X 101" and was selected as a final X1 member. However, after the project group disbanded, he re-debuted in 2021 with MIRAE and later also worked as a broadcaster.
