Actor 홍민기 has begun legal action against his ex-girlfriend A, who alleged dating violence and other accusations.
The agency Fable Company said on the 27th, "Hong Min-gi recently, in relation to a series of actions by A, on Aug. 21, 2026 and Aug. 24, 2026, filed a complaint with investigative authorities accusing A of forging private documents, attempted extortion, violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation), violating the Act on Punishment of Crime of Stalking, and other charges," the agency said in an official statement.
They added, "The company and the actor will faithfully participate in the forthcoming investigative procedures, and we believe that the investigative process will clearly reveal the substantive truth and legal responsibility in this case."
They asked, "Until the truth is revealed through the objective investigation and decision of the investigative authorities, we request that people refrain from making hasty judgments about unverified claims or indiscriminately amplifying or reproducing content that differs from the facts."
Separately, Hong Min-gi's side explained in response to recent reports that A visited Hong Min-gi's home and caused a disturbance: "A came to Hong Min-gi's Itaewon residence at around 2 a.m. on Aug. 23, rang the doorbell and engaged in acts such as loudly crying and cursing. The police were dispatched that day, and the police requested joint response from 119, after which A was transported by ambulance."
They went on to say, "The police, pursuant to the Act on Punishment of Crime of Stalking, on that day imposed restrictions on A, including a ban on approaching within 100 meters and a ban on approaching via telecommunications."
A earlier claimed that she suffered dating violence from Hong Min-gi on the 19th and was pressured to have an abortion. Hong Min-gi's side said, "A's claims are different from the facts."
