According to Box Office Mojo, as of Wednesday the 26th, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" surpassed $858.4 million in cumulative North American box office revenue. That figure exceeds the $858.37 million earned by "Avengers: Endgame," which had firmly held the No. 2 spot in North American box office rankings for seven years.
Amid the overwhelming box office frenzy, global movie fans are now focused on whether it will challenge the No. 1 North American record. The top spot is currently held by "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," which earned about $936.66 million, and the gap between it and "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is roughly $78 million.
Now playing in theaters nationwide, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is an action blockbuster that tells the story of Peter Parker, who was forgotten by everyone after the events of the previous film, "Spider-Man: No Way Home."
