On Sept. 28 at 8:30 p.m., KBS 1TV's new daily drama "Mom has gone crazy" (directed by Sungjunhae, written by Na Seung-hyun) will premiere. It depicts the tumultuous family coming-of-age story that unfolds when a mother who lived her whole life for her family and a mother who lived only for herself, along with the children of the two mothers who are entangled like enemies, meet.
In the drama, Dong-ha plays Cha Seung-yoon, the chief designer at Hwanggeum Apparel and the eldest grandson of Hwang Geumsun (played by Kim Young-ok). Cha Seung-yoon lost his parents in an accident during his childhood and went alone to study in the United States, where he grew into a world-renowned fashion designer. However, he leaves behind his glamorous success and returns to Korea to struggle to uncover the truth surrounding his parents' accident.
Among the released stills on the 27th are images of Cha Seung-yoon returning to the Hwanggeum household after wrapping up his life in the United States, which draw attention. Standing in front of the house, Cha Seung-yoon gazes at a familiar scene he has not seen in a long time, revealing mixed emotions, and at times wears a cold, steely expression toward someone, adding tension.
His neat styling and relaxed posture fully convey the traits of a self-proclaimed "workaholic." Along with the sophisticated atmosphere and cool charisma befitting a successful fashion designer, viewers are curious about how Cha Seung-yoon will be entangled with his family members and emerge as the central axis of the drama.
In particular, Cha Seung-yoon is a character with firm standards about work to the extent that he values clothes more than people. He is a consummate designer who not only performs his duties perfectly but also possesses outstanding fashion sense and skill. Dong-ha will delicately portray Cha Seung-yoon's complex inner world, including the composure and sharp charisma of a successful designer as well as the wounds he has long buried in his heart since his parents' death.
