Actress 장규리 brightens weekend living rooms as an ultra-sunny character.
Jang Gyuri will meet viewers as Hong Jae-in, a violist prodigy with "absolute pitch," in the new tvN weekend drama 'Four Hands' (written by Shin I-won, directed by Park Hyun-seok, produced by Studio Dragon, Studio N, Namooactors Entertainment), which premieres on the 29th.
'Four Hands' is a drama that depicts the friendship, love, rivalry and growth of youths who met at an arts high school attended only by musical geniuses, and in it Jang Gyuri plays Hong Jae-in, the character who first recognized the talents of Kang Bi-o (Song Kang) and Choi Jeong-yo (Lee Junyoung), taking on the role of the bright and spirited "ultra-sunny" Hong Jae-in, who has an upbeat energy.
Jang Gyuri has completely transformed into Hong Jae-in. Wearing an elegant dress and playing the viola calmly, she revealed Hong Jae-in's professional side as an "absolute pitch prodigy," and in photos in a school uniform she radiated Hong Jae-in's self-proclaimed "happy virus" with a bright smile and lively expressions.
Jang Gyuri said, "While preparing for this project I listened to a lot of classical music and went to see performances many times," adding, "The most difficult thing was using my body naturally while playing the instrument. I practiced by filming videos with my teacher and exchanging feedback as if dancing," and she noted, "She is someone who always gives her all and carries on to the end for something she once opens her heart to and loves, and I think that is something I wanted to emulate both as an actor and as a person."
It is expected that Jang Gyuri, who has been steadily growing through consistent work, will shine in 'Four Hands.'
