POW leader Yochi was appointed as an "Honorary Ambassador for Korean Tourism" selected by Korea Tourism Organization (KTO).
Yochi was chosen as an "Honorary Ambassador for Korean Tourism" by Korea Tourism Organization at "LOVE KOREA 2026: KOREA WELCOMES YOU!" held at CentralWorld in Bangkok, Thailand, on the 22nd.
This honorary ambassador appointment is significant because Yochi, who is from Thailand, can continue K-pop idol activities based in Korea and thereby exert broader influence in both countries.
Yochi plans to convey Korea's charm to the Thai public from a more realistic and friendly perspective, combining an understanding of Thai culture with personal experience living in Korea.
At the appointment ceremony, Yochi named Jeju Island as one of the travel destinations he would recommend to Thai fans. He said, "I liked Jeju's simple and relaxed atmosphere. I hope everyone visits Jeju at least once. It's truly a healing place."
He added, "Because I actually live in Korea, I hope everyone can feel closer to Korea through the way I see it."
Meanwhile, Yochi will serve as the model for a Korea tourism promotional video tailored to the Thai market that reflects local Thai sensibilities and trends, using his appointment as honorary tourism ambassador. Through this, he plans to introduce the charms of Korean tourism to Thai fans in a friendly way.
