The 'Radio Star' actress Hwang Seok-jeong candidly shared an update.
On the 26th, MBC's 'Radio Star' aired as a 'HOPE ATTACK' special featuring Hwang Seok-jeong, Lee Jun-hyuk, Seo Eun-kwang and Yoo Young-woo.
Hwang Seok-jeong said she often hears people around her ask, "Why aren't you appearing on broadcasts?" and "Why aren't you acting?" She then frankly said, "The casting failed," making the studio erupt in laughter.
Explaining why casting fell through, Hwang Seok-jeong said, "When casting might work, it doesn't. That's because I don't have an agency. Things don't go well in the middle," exposing without restraint the hardships she faces due to the absence of a manager and agency.
Despite that, Hwang Seok-jeong showed an undiminished passion for acting. She added, "Actually I've been continuing to act. I have been doing theater continuously. I have been living diligently," emphasizing that she has quietly followed her own path.
In particular, she drew attention by revealing the hardships during the film shoot. Hwang Seok-jeong said, "When we were filming the movie HOPE, I took intercity buses. I got off and the dust storm blew. I got off and wandered like an outlaw of Hwayang and it was hard to film," recounting vividly how she worked fiercely without a manager, running around on her own during the shoot.
