Hollywood top actress Jennifer Garner opened up candidly about the severe financial anxiety and process of becoming independent she experienced immediately after her divorce from actor and director Ben Affleck.

Jennifer Garner, who married Ben Affleck in 2005 and has three children (Violet, Finn, Samuel), announced their separation in 2015 and completed the divorce process in 2018. She significantly reduced her Hollywood acting work for a time to raise her children and focused on her family.
On the broadcast, Jennifer Garner said, "When I realized I had stepped back from my work after the divorce, I panicked," adding, "I did not know how long I could continue working, and it was not an industry where pay increases with age, so the reality that 'I must take responsibility for myself and raise the children' felt heavy."
She redesigned her career so she would not leave Los Angeles in order to be with her children. Instead of accepting long-location shoots, she became a co-founder of an organic children's food brand in 2017 and took on a new challenge as an entrepreneur.
The choice was a great success. The company went public on the New York Stock Exchange this February and was valued at about $724 million (about 960 billion won), and Jennifer Garner, the largest individual shareholder with about a 7% stake, is reported to have equity worth about $50 million (about 66 billion won).
Jennifer Garner said, "Being famous does not mean someone will guarantee your life. I, who had not thought deeply about money, suddenly felt the responsibility of being the provider." She added she had no regrets about the time spent with her children in their early years, saying, "It may have been a pause in my career, but I was grateful to fully enjoy the time as a mother."
