Actor Cha Taehyun delivered blunt remarks about Yoo Yeon-seok's chances of winning year-end awards.
On the 25th episode of SBS's Whenever Possible, Cha Taehyun and Jin Ki-joo appeared as guests.
That day Jin Ki-joo expressed delight, saying, "I only met him at award ceremonies," about Yoo Yeon-seok. Recent news about Yoo Yeon-seok teaching students for a semester at Sejong University also became a topic of conversation. Yoo Yeon-seok said, "It reminds me of studying acting in college and it's fun," sharing his impressions of teaching students directly. Yu Jae-seok admired, "It would be great if Yeon-seok were a professor," and when the topic of special lectures came up, Cha Taehyun suggested, "Invite Jae-seok once."
Yoo Yeon-seok didn't miss the chance and asked Cha Taehyun, "You should do it once too," sending love calls to both Yu Jae-seok and Cha Taehyun.
Then Cha Taehyun suddenly brought up Yoo Yeon-seok's year-end award prospects. Cha Taehyun, who said he enjoyed the SBS drama Phantom Lawyer that Yoo Yeon-seok appeared in, fired a blunt remark, "Yeon-seok did very well but because of 'Manager Kim' it's over for this year. He has no luck at all."
He went on to mention So Jisub, who was active in 'Manager Kim,' and early on predicted the grand prize winner, saying, "So Jisub is absolutely the grand prize winner," which drew laughter. Yoo Yeon-seok, taken aback by the unexpected awards assessment, laughed and said, "I didn't even think about the grand prize." He added, "I received an award at an internal SBS awards ceremony. It seems they pulled it forward to give it to me."
Hearing this, Cha Taehyun took it further and joked, "So you're saying you shouldn't come to the year-end awards," which sent the set into peals of laughter. Cha Taehyun's blunt remarks, which instantly summed up everything from the grand prize competition to the chances of winning regardless of Yoo Yeon-seok's wishes, brought laughter.
