Hit songwriter and singer Yoo Hae-joon, who created classics such as "Cheonsangyeon," "A thousand years of love" and "Only you to me," is embarking on a new musical challenge.
Yoo Hae-joon will release a new music project album, Yoo Hae-joon's story Vol. 1, at 6 p.m. today (26) on various music streaming sites.
Yoo Hae-joon's story is a project in which Yoo Hae-joon, instead of singing himself, discovers and collaborates with vocalists who can best convey his songs' completeness. He plans to continuously present diverse emotions and timbres by finding voices optimized for each song's mood and concept.
The first participant to open the project is rookie vocalist Ahn Chang-yong. Ahn Chang-yong, who left an ordinary office job to boldly pursue his dream of music and become a singer, is a talented performer who captured the attention of the public and industry figures with nothing but his skills through appearances on MBC's The King of Mask Singer and KBS's I Like Singing.
The two met through an SNS open audition. Ahn Chang-yong applied to the audition Yoo Hae-joon held to find a vocalist suitable for the rock ballad "Becoming a star (Lyra)," and Yoo Hae-joon, captivated by his vocal ability and delicate expression, immediately chose him. In particular, Yoo Hae-joon produced an additional new song, "You are the only one," to capture Ahn Chang-yong's boundless potential and completed this album.
On this album, Ahn Chang-yong skillfully handled the high notes and delicate emotional lines characteristic of rock ballads, moving between explosive vocal power and deep sensitivity.
Yoo Hae-joon plans to continue expanding his musical horizons by presenting new vocalists and narratives each time through Yoo Hae-joon's story. The synergy created by promising rookie Ahn Chang-yong and hitmaker Yoo Hae-joon raises expectations among music fans.<
