Ghost Studio is producing MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama "White Scandal."
Ghost Studio's "White Scandal" follows Dan I-hyeok, a third-generation chaebol actor who does not want to be an heir, and Ji Eun-seol, a fallen child star, who begin a fake relationship to fool the world and together heal buried wounds from their past in a mutual salvation romance.
Because Ghost Studio is producing it based on the webtoon "White Scandal," which it co-planned and developed with Pil-yeon, expectations for solid storytelling and romance are high. Filming is scheduled to begin soon.
Song Kang was confirmed to play Dan I-hyeok, who will show a mutual salvation romance, and Kim So Hyun was confirmed to play Ji Eun-seol. Fans are already focusing on the new romantic chemistry the two actors will display.
Dan I-hyeok, played by Song Kang, is Korea's top actor and a third-generation chaebol. Born the illegitimate son of a chaebol family, he has lived by performing the role his grandfather wanted since childhood, and while struggling to break free from the family succession structure, he begins a fake relationship with Ji Eun-seol, a fallen former child actor.
Ji Eun-seol, played by Kim So Hyun, is a former promising child actor who fell from grace after an incident. While living as a manager without giving up on her dream of acting, she reunites with Dan I-hyeok, who was at the center of the past incident, and faces long-buried secrets from her past.
The two actors, who have shown a wide spectrum, will portray Dan I-hyeok (played by Song Kang) and Ji Eun-seol (played by Kim So Hyun), and fans' expectations are high for the delicate emotional lines and deeper acting they will reveal.
Having produced diverse genre works up to "As You Stood By," "Bloodhounds 2" and now "White Scandal," Ghost Studio holds numerous in-house rights (IP) and is expanding its business across drama and film, over-the-top platforms, webtoons and games to actively target the global market.
