Broadcaster Park Soo-hong personally apologized for the flight's delayed departure caused by his family reversing their decision to disembark.
On the 26th, Park Soo-hong said on his social networking service (SNS), "During the flight departure process, a delayed departure issue occurred because of my family," adding, "We took away many people's valuable time and also caused harm to airline staff."
Upon boarding at the time, the child cried heavily, which caused alarm, and, concerned about inconveniencing other passengers during the long flight, the family conveyed to a flight attendant their intention to disembark, Park said.
However, while waiting on board, when the child stopped crying, they expressed their intention to reboard, and he noted they did not realize this process could take time due to security checks and baggage handling.
Park Soo-hong apologized, saying, "This happened entirely because of my ignorance of flight-related procedures," and, "There is no room for any excuse."
Earlier, on an online community, a post said that on the 23rd on a flight from Incheon to Guam, the Park Soo-hong family first expressed an intention to disembark and then reversed it, delaying departure by about one hour. The flight reportedly had more than 200 passengers on board.
