On the 25th, Jin Jae-young posted a photo of a dark Jeju street at night on her social media and wrote, "I don't usually go out at night, but these days even taking a walk in Jeju feels a bit scary."
As bodies believed to be missing persons have been found one after another in Jeju, it appears that Jin Jae-young, who lives in Jeju, has voiced concern. Earlier, medical journalist Hong Hye-geol, who also lives in Jeju, said, "Jeju is beautiful, but it's a place you shouldn't take lightly."
Jin Jae-young settled in Jeju in 2017 after marrying professional golfer Jin Jeong-sik. In a past broadcast, she revealed her home in Jeju and said, "In Jeju, I hardly ever have a reason to go outside. Even before COVID-19, I rarely went out."
Meanwhile, after the case of Jang Mi-ran, who went missing in May, became known, anxiety has grown as four bodies believed to be missing persons were found in Jeju over the past three days. On the morning of the 25th, Jang was found dead near the lodging where she had stayed for a long time. The police officer who handled the missing-person report was arrested on charges of falsely closing the case.
