With actor Robert Downey Jr.'s Marvel return film 'Avengers: Doomsday' set to open, 'Avengers: Endgame' will be re-released next month.
The phenomenon that united the world and left an indelible mark on film history, 'Avengers: Endgame,' returns to theaters once again.
Avengers: Endgame Encore, confirmed to open on Sept. 23, will meet audiences in a new format called Infinity Vision, and it raises expectations by releasing a Reassemble poster and a Reassemble trailer.
As the most anticipated film to cap off the year, 'Avengers: Doomsday,' is set to open in December, and the 2019 phenomenon that set the world ablaze, 'Avengers: Endgame,' returns to theaters once again. Avengers: Endgame Encore, confirmed to open on Sept. 23, offers a special opportunity to see on screen 'Avengers: Endgame,' which depicts the final war in which the Avengers risk everything to save the world's fate amid the desperate crisis in which only half of humanity survives after the Mad Titan Thanos's finger snap. Even seven years after its release, it still ranks No. 2 on the all-time global box office, and domestically it has recorded more than 13.97 million cumulative admissions, firmly holding the top spot among foreign films, so fans' anticipation for this special screening is also growing. In particular, it will be screened in Infinity Vision-certified theaters, which provide the best moviegoing experience through large screens, clear and bright images, and excellent sound, promising an even more overwhelming immersion. The poster released along with the announcement of Avengers: Endgame Encore centers on Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) wearing the gauntlet equipped with the Infinity Stones, and completes a majestic visual by bringing together many characters who lit up Avengers: Endgame, including Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), and Peter Parker (Tom Holland). Added to this is the copy "assemble once again in theaters," which heightens expectations for the thrilling moment of witnessing the legendary Avengers' historic gathering once more.
The trailer released together begins with Sam Wilson's (Anthony Mackie) lines, "Cap, can you hear me?" and "look to your left," sending a chill through the body.
Then scenes of audiences who filled theaters at the time of the 2019 release cheering toward the screen unfold, reviving the explosive excitement and the audience's passionate love that united the world for 'Avengers: Endgame.' Along with the copy "relive the emotion once more," the film immortalizes in history Steve Rogers's (Chris Evans) powerful cry, "Avengers! Assemble," and includes the overwhelming-scale battles and iconic scenes presented by the assembled Avengers, promising to revive the emotion of that day when everyone cheered and went wild in theaters once again.
Above all, at the end of the trailer, the phrase "the story continues" appears, and it teases the first exclusive footage of 'Avengers: Doomsday' that can be seen only at Avengers: Endgame Encore, capturing attention. Because Robert Downey Jr., who powerfully closed out Avengers: Endgame as Iron Man, returns in a new role as Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday, the news that audiences will be the first to see footage containing the new story further heightens anticipation. Avengers: Endgame Encore, which connects the emotion of that day when the world celebrated together with the beginning of a new Avengers, opens in theaters on Sept. 23.
Meanwhile, Marvel faced rumors of a crisis after many of its anticipated films failed at the box office following Iron Man's exit in Endgame, but Tom Holland's Spider-Man: Brand New Day, released earlier this year, has been the No. 1 film at the North American box office for four consecutive weeks, drawing attention.
According to U.S. box office tracker Box Office Mojo on the 25th (local time), Spider-Man: Brand New Day recorded North American cumulative box office revenue of $854.9 million through the weekend of its fourth week. With this, it surpassed the record of its predecessor Spider-Man: No Way Home and entered the list of all-time North American box office top three. Its global box office revenue also exceeded $2.2 billion. This is a record that surpasses Avengers: Infinity War and Star Wars: The Force Awakens in the all-time global box office, earning it a spot among the all-time top six.
