Disney+'s new romance fantasy epic "The Remarried Empress" has confirmed its release on Nov. 4 and released a teaser trailer that heightens immersion along with four distinct character posters.
"The Remarried Empress" is a fatal royal romance fantasy in which Nabier, the perfect empress of the Eastern Empire (Shin Mina), is notified of divorce by Emperor Sobieshu (Ju Jihoon), who swears "no matter what happens, my wife is only you" but is shaken by the escaped slave Rasta (Lee Seyoung); Nabier accepts the divorce but demands approval to remarry Prince Heinrich of the western kingdom (Lee Jong-suk), setting off the events that follow.
The released teaser trailer opens with the overwhelming scale of the powerful Eastern Empire. "No matter what happens, my wife is only you," Sobieshu, who once swore this, is unsettled by Rasta's arrival, and Rasta revels in the sudden happiness while Nabier watches, creating a tense, edge-of-the-seat narrative.
Then the relationship between Prince Heinrich of the western kingdom, who approaches Nabier to offer consolation, and Sobieshu, who is enraged by this, reaches a climax. At last Sobieshu's shocking divorce notice follows, but Nabier's assertive choice—accepting the divorce without hesitation and simultaneously declaring "I demand approval to remarry"—heralds a massive upheaval.
The character posters released together also boast 200% sync with the characters. Shin Mina revealed Nabier's dignified and steady presence as the gracious empress; Ju Jihoon displayed the intense presence of Emperor Sobieshu, who holds absolute power. Lee Jong-suk, appearing as the alluring and mysterious Prince Heinrich, stirred excitement with the line "my queen," and Lee Seyoung captured Rasta's desire—once an escaped slave who gained the emperor's favor—hidden behind a dazzling smile.
With the protagonists' foreign names conveying a nationality-agnostic fantasy sensibility, it remains to be seen whether this somewhat unfamiliar fantastical world will resonate with domestic viewers.<
