Actor Jang Seo-hee's return to the small screen A Trap Called Desire set a new personal best in ratings.
According to ratings research company Nielsen Korea on the 25th, the KBS2 daily drama A Trap Called Desire (written by Goo Ji-won, directed by Lee Dae-kyung and Jung Kwang-soo), which aired on the 24th, recorded a nationwide rating of 7.9%.
This is 0.4 percentage points higher than the 7.5% rating recorded by episode 10, which aired on the 21st. A Trap Called Desire, which premiered on the 10th, started with a 6.4% rating and proved its rising trend by writing its highest-ever rating in three weeks. In particular, having returned to the small screen after three years and to KBS after 12 years, Jang Seo-hee is leading the drama full of the fierce determination she mentioned.
In that episode, as Joo Mi-ran (Jang Seo-hee)'s scheme continued, the diverging moves of Go Eun-seol (Jeon Hye-won) and Cha Seok-jin (Seol Junghwan) were portrayed.
While Go Eun-seol was reviewing files to apply for the Cheongma Group designer competition, she faced a precarious moment when she was about to be discovered by Cha Seok-jin, who had entered headquarters. But just before being discovered, Seo Hyeon-jae (Jang Se-hyun) appeared in front of Go Eun-seol and she narrowly avoided the crisis.
Having pulled Cha Seok-jin into the planning director position as planned, Joo Mi-ran began to move events as she wished by using Kang Hae-ra (Joo Saebyeok)'s feelings. Joo Mi-ran even provoked Kim Jung-sun (Yoon Hae-young) to try to link Kang Hae-ra and Cha Seok-jin, but Kang Young-hoon (Yoo Tae-woong) was not pleased with Cha Seok-jin. Although he acknowledged Cha Seok-jin's ability, he took issue with his family background and felt disapproving of him. In the end, Kang Hae-ra burst out her accumulated resentment toward Kang Young-hoon for not recognizing the man she loves, Cha Seok-jin.
Watching the clash between the Cheongma Group father and daughter, Joo Mi-ran gave Kang Hae-ra advice as if frustrated. Meanwhile, Go Eun-seol resolved her misunderstanding with her older brother Go Eun-guk (Park Seong-gyu) and decided to live at Seo Hyeon-jae's house with his family, welcoming a new change.
