Based on the warm sharing of G-Dragon, honorary chairman of the Juspeace Foundation, meaningful steps continued for Big Bang 20th anniversary world tour.
On the 25th the foundation said that G-Dragon personally purchased and donated tickets with his own funds to invite descendants of independence patriots and descendants of veterans of the June 25 war, and correctional officers working hard in correctional facilities to this performance. This is part of the foundation's "hero recovery" project, and it represents a step further from last year's move during G-Dragon's tour to invite police officers and firefighters by expanding the recipients of the sharing.
The "hero recovery" project was planned with the aim of conveying respect and gratitude through culture and the arts to those who quietly dedicate themselves to the peace and safety of our society. The foundation's definition of "hero" does not refer only to extraordinary great figures, but encompasses all people who do their duty unseen to protect others' ordinary lives. This invitation was also arranged to remind society that it has not forgotten the noble spirit of the patriots who sacrificed for the country and the efforts of correctional officers who work to rehabilitate inmates and build social safety nets.
In this regard, Oh Hee-young, chief of the Juspeace Foundation, said, "The ordinary day we enjoy contains someone's sacrifice and dedication, and the efforts of people who are still fulfilling their responsibilities in their positions," and said, "Even if it is not a grand reward, I wanted to convey that our society does not forget those efforts."
