"White Scandal" is a mutual salvation romance in which third-generation chaebol heir and actor Dan I Hyuk, who does not want to be the successor, and fallen child star Ji Eun Seol start a fake relationship to deceive the world and together resolve buried past wounds. It is a work based on the webtoon of the same name "White Scandal".
Through this work, Song Kang and Kim So Hyun reunite in a romance project after 5 years following 2019's "Love Alarm" and 2021's "Love Alarm 2." The two, who presented a fresh youth romance, this time transform into a man and a woman who meet again carrying wounds from the past, conveying a deeper emotional line.
Song Kang plays Dan I Hyuk, the country's top actor and third-generation chaebol heir. Born a illegitimate child of a chaebol family, I Hyuk has lived acting the way his grandfather wanted since childhood. He lives as a top star in front of the camera and as the chaebol family's grandson off camera, and while struggling to escape the chaebol succession structure, he begins a fake romance with fallen child actress Ji Eun Seol (played by Kim So Hyun).
Kim So Hyun plays Ji Eun Seol, a once-promising child actress who fell from grace due to an incident. Eun Seol, who was loved as an actress in her childhood, now lives as a manager while unable to let go of her dream of acting. Then, when she reunites with Dan I Hyuk, who was at the center of the past incident, she confronts the buried secrets of her past.
