Broadcaster Lee Kyung-sil cheerfully brushed off an unexpected "recognition embarrassment" she experienced at Namhae German Village.
On the 24th, the YouTube channel "Our Mom Lee Kyung-sil" released the second episode of "A trip to German Village filled with mom's memories." In the video, Lee Kyung-sil visited Namhae German Village, which she and her daughter Son Su-a had wanted to visit for 10 years.
The two arrived at an accommodation exuding a strong German atmosphere and talked with the elderly owner couple. The couple, who had lived in Germany for a long time, did not recognize Lee Kyung-sil, and when the production staff introduced her as "the Lee Kyung-sil who appears on TV," they replied, "Why would she come out?" showing little interest in television itself, which drew laughter.
The owner couple explained that because of their long overseas stay they were not familiar with Korean broadcasts and entertainers. When the hosts mentioned that through filming they knew "2 Days & 1 Night," Lee Kyung-sil immediately quipped, "Kang Ho-dong? They're all my juniors," jokingly.
She continued, "I am older than Kang Ho-dong. I'm 60 this year, past hwangap," introducing herself naturally and showing a cool reaction that did not mind the "recognition embarrassment" at all.
The next day, Lee Kyung-sil enjoyed a German-style breakfast and continued a pleasant conversation with the owner couple. Before leaving the accommodation, she was also seen tidying the room she used until the end.
On the Namhae German Village trip she had long wished for, Lee Kyung-sil met an owner couple who did not know her at all. Far from being embarrassed, she quickly created a laughter-filled atmosphere with her characteristic wit, leaving another memory of the trip.
