Actor Jang Hyuk revealed everything from his past living with god to the behind-the-scenes birth of the "TJ project."
On the 24th, the YouTube channel Zzanbro's "Jang Hyuk Im Woo-il [Zzanbro EP.159] Daegil followed Wo-il~ Jjasseujjasseu" featured Jang Hyuk and Im Woo-il talking.
That day Jang Hyuk said, "I was with god at Sidus for a long time. Almost 30 years," referring to his long relationship. Asked, "Didn't you want to be a member of god?" he replied, "No."
However, he actually lived with the god members. Jang Hyuk recalled, "We lived together and cooked food. We received a month's living expenses and bought groceries, and we ate well for a week and starved for the remaining three weeks."
He also revealed why he once promoted as a singer under the name "TJ." Jang Hyuk said many actors at the time changed their image through music videos before starting projects, explaining, "It was a project album done when image making was needed." It was not an activity that began with a dream of becoming a singer.
He chose rap instead of singing, but that was not an easy challenge either. Jang Hyuk said, "I had never tried rapping, but I practiced for a year." Although he originally decided not to do broadcasting activities, he eventually appeared on music show stages to promote the music video.
He joked, "I even did choreography. Still, it was lip-synced. I covered my mouth with the microphone," and added with a laugh, "I had a conscience, so I did sing."
The recently formed "Amutta band" was also mentioned. Jang Hyuk said, "After 30 years, TJ's songs became live. Doing them as a band version instead of techno made it different," conveying the heated audience reaction at the concert.
He added humor by showing confidence about the Amutta band's main vocal, saying, "The secret weapon is not Cha Taehyun but me."
