Actor Kim Yo-han brought cheerful laughter to home viewers with deeper acting and his distinct, savory ability to inhabit a character.
On the evening of the 24th at 10 p.m., the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama New Recruit 4: Sabotage showcased the exploits of Moon Bit-nari (played by Kim Yo-han), who led the New Recruit hidden camera prank and sketched out a new narrative.
In that episode, Moon Bit-nari swapped roles with his seniors and posed as a fake sergeant to welcome the New Recruit. When the New Recruit Kim Hyun-wook (played by Lee Won-jung) entered, contrary to worries, he performed highly immersive method acting that surprised viewers. However, while persistently picking fights, he instead revealed a bungling charm as he got caught up in the New Recruit Kim Hyun-wook's unusual sense, prompting uproarious laughter.
In particular, Moon Bit-nari's continued reckless behavior toward his seniors, as if to resolve accumulated grievances as if there were "no tomorrow," delivered both tension and laughter. Amid the seniors' anxious reactions, his onslaught realistically captured the bittersweet aspects of military life, leaving a strong impression.
Alongside this, in the scene where he calmly explains military life rules to his junior, he exuded a more mature atmosphere. When senior Park Min-seok packed the New Recruit's sunscreen for him, Moon Bit-nari secretly felt envious, but was soon delighted by Kim Sang-hoon (played by Lee Choong-gu)'s care; his face covered in sunscreen, looking pale and white, made viewers laugh out loud.
In this way, Kim Yo-han perfectly portrayed the growth from the clumsy, hopeless recruit of last season to a private facing his junior through graceful tone control. Critics say he built the distinctive character Moon Bit-nari three-dimensionally with a more relaxed aura and controlled pacing. His passionate performance, which raises the comedy quotient at just the right moments, is further enriching the drama's entertainment value.<
