Kim Si-a returns as Koo Kyo-hwan's reliable supporter and thoughtful younger sister.
'Resurrection Man: The Red' (director Baek, distributed by Lotte Entertainment, produced by Yong Film, co-produced by Superfiction·YLAB·Studio Nungil) is a film that tells the story of job seeker Seok-hwan (Koo Kyo-hwan), whose only qualification is baseless confidence, who learns he has the ability to resurrect 72 hours after death and then becomes the target of a mysterious pursuit.
Kim Si-a, who has appeared in the Sweet Home series and the films Kill Boksoon and Miss Baek, plays Seok-hwan's sister Ye-rin. Ye-rin is a high school student who is smart and reliable, with excellent computer skills; she researches materials actively for her brother, who repeatedly fails interviews.
Kim Si-a portrays Ye-rin's three-dimensional character with delicate acting, showing a sister who may seem blunt but has deep faith and affection for her brother. Paired with Koo Kyo-hwan as her brother, their squabbling yet complementary dynamic is expected to create a realistic, relatable chemistry.
As director Baek said, "Kim Si-a's delicate impression fit the film's 'Ye-rin' well," Kim Si-a is expected to further raise anticipation by deeply portraying Ye-rin, a character who calmly maintains her center in any situation, and by asserting her presence.
Meanwhile, 'Resurrection Man: The Red' opens on Sep. 30.
