Actor Choi Min-sik's reaction to Han So-hee's casting has become a talking point.
The lead actors of the film "Intern" (directed by Kim Do-young), Choi Min-sik and Han So-hee, attended a production briefing held on the 24th at CGV I'Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
That day Choi Min-sik said, "I asked, 'Who was cast as Seon-woo?' and they said, 'It was actress Han So-hee,'" adding, "That Han So-hee?" which made the audience burst into laughter.
At this mention from the senior actor, Han So-hee looked down shyly and smiled. Choi Min-sik went on to say, "I mostly worked with male actors. I often worked with actors with such impressions that you wouldn't easily run into on the street," adding, "This time a very beautiful actress is right in front of me, so I thought I really have to work hard."
Choi Min-sik also added, "Where would I have the luxury of ever sharing a frame with actress Han So-hee? I thought I must stay on my toes."
Then "that Ms. Han So-hee" showed a witty response about working with Choi Min-sik by saying, "The Choi Min-sik senior I know?"
"Intern" tells the story of an office life that transcends generations and ranks, beginning when "Seon-woo" (Han So-hee), who rose as a dark horse in the fashion world three years after launching, hires "Gi-ho" (Choi Min-sik), a 37-year-career silver intern.
The film is a remake of the Hollywood film of the same name, which grossed more than five times its 2015 production budget and was loved by audiences worldwide; Choi Min-sik transforms into a veteran intern with 37 years of experience, and Han So-hee transforms into a three-year rookie CEO who knows nothing but work. Kim Do-young, director of the film Once We Were Us, directed the film.
