2PM Jang Wooyoung met with children aspiring to be idols.
On the 24th, a video titled "I do my best (even if the other person is an elementary school student)" was posted on the YouTube channel "Jang Wooyoung"s "Producer Wooyoung Booyoung."
That day, Jang Wooyoung spent time learning dance and talking with children who dream of becoming idols. At that time one friend asked since what age they wanted to become an idol, and Jang Wooyoung recalled, "It was when I was about 11 or 12," saying, "After deciding I wanted to be an idol I kept practicing and auditioned for JYP once every six months."
He said, "I thought it would take about six months to improve, so I kept auditioning every half year," and added, "I failed the JYP audition about six times. Then I passed on the seventh audition and joined."
Afterward a parent asked, "What are things you should not do to become an idol?" Jang Wooyoung answered, "Singing, dancing, skill. Actually these are really important, but there are also many things you should not do. I hope you don't focus only on practicing singing and dancing."
He added, "I hope you enjoy the time with the friends next to you, your parents, and the time at home as much as possible," and said warmly, "I hope you add to your dreams one by one, like 'what songs I like' and 'what kind of artist I want to be.'"
