Actor Jeong I-rang showed off her wit after successfully completing her radio special DJ debut.
Jeong I-rang made a surprise appearance as a special DJ on MBC FM4U's Two O'Clock Date with Ahn Young-mi, which aired on the 24th.
Holding the solo DJ mic for the first time since her debut, Jeong I-rang said, "This is my first time as a solo DJ, and I came out to meet you with a nervous heart. I will trust the listeners and have fun with them," expressing her overwhelming feelings.
Filling in for her close friend Ahn Young-mi, who was briefly away on maternity leave after giving birth to her second child, Jeong I-rang said, "I used to dream that I might be able to be a DJ someday while listening to the radio playing at gas stations or cafes, and today I fulfilled that dream," and added sincerely, "If Ahn Young-mi is listening now, I hope she takes good care of herself and returns healthy, as the listeners are waiting."
Once the full broadcast began, Jeong I-rang continued to communicate with deep empathy for listeners' stories with her characteristic friendliness. Warmth increased as real-time text messages of support arrived from her husband, Kim Hyung-keun, former managers and close acquaintances.
She filled the radio with explosive cheerfulness, showcasing not only steady hosting skills but also diverse sub-character voice acting and impromptu live performances timed to songs.
After the broadcast, Jeong I-rang expressed her gratitude, saying, "I was very worried until I arrived, but thanks to the listeners' responses I leave with a warm, family-like feeling. If you call me again, I would like to come back."
