"The laughter of the 14th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF) continues."
On the third day since opening, the 14th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF) (hereinafter BICF) offered laughter with a wide spectrum of performances including Galgali Gag Concert: return of the legend, B-grade hearing, Woo Seok-hoon comedy short selection, the overseas performance Mime De Rien, and Comedy Street held on Gumnam-ro in Haeundae.
Galgali Gag Concert: return of the legend stirred audience nostalgia with a full lineup of comedians who led the golden age of Gag Concert, including Park Joonhyung, Shim Hyunseop, Park Seongho, Im Hyukpil, Park Youngjin, and Kim Jihae. In particular, the Galgali Family corner, which featured Park Joonhyung, Oh Jeng Tae and new member Oh Jeong Tae, provoked uproarious laughter from the audience with its unprecedented visuals.
The high-quality lowbrow talk show B-grade hearing colored the audience with laughter through the unreserved wit and fantastic chemistry of Choi Seongmin, Nam Hoyeon, and Kim Seungjin. In addition, for the first show Im Hyukpil, Oh Jeong Tae, and Kim Young, and for the second show Ahn Yunsang, Yang Giwoong, and Kim Young joined as special guests, each acting as witnesses and hearing committee members to continue the skits.
Woo Seok-hoon comedy short selection delivered warm laughter. Woo Seok-hoon filled the stage by leading 12 themed pantomimes such as Birth, Love blooms, The wise white tower, and A lucky day with graceful movements and delicate depiction. After the performance ended, he finally spoke and moved the audience with a sincere remark that he hoped today's performance would bring great laughter and comfort.
The festival highlight Comedy Street also officially opened. Overseas acts included two-person juggler La Sambusa and one-person juggler Kai Kuutamo, Hoop Boom Boom providing cheerful laughter with hula hoop, and domestic acts followed with magician Kim Minhyung's laughing magic show, Ham Seoyul's circus drama The Happening Show, Jo Yunho, Kim Youngjo, and Hong Hwun's gag magic show Magic Jo, and Lee Seokwon's circus paper art 231 show.
Chief programmer Jo Yunho said, "I take the stage with a sense of duty to make BICF a festival for citizens. If the marathon is the flower of the Olympics, I think the flower of BICF is Comedy Street," and added, "You can see original comedy stages delivered directly from the source that cannot be seen on broadcast on Gumnam-ro until the 26th, so please show a lot of interest."
