Actor Yang Jun-mo revealed his divorce belatedly and also announced his remarriage to Spica member Yang Jiwon.
On the 24th, Yang Jun-mo posted on his social media, "This may be a bit late news and may surprise some of you, but many changes have occurred in my life during the past time. After long deliberation, in 2023 I ended my marriage and we decided to go our separate ways," he said.
Yang Jun-mo married a composer in 2009 and has a daughter. He ended his marriage in 2023. The reason he revealed the divorce belatedly was because of his daughter. He said, "The reason I did not bring up this matter earlier was above all because I did not want my still-young daughter to be hurt or to be placed under unnecessary scrutiny. I thought it was more important for the child to live her life comfortably than for me to explain my personal circumstances."
He added, "As time has passed, we are each building new lives in our own places and cheering on each other. And the child is also living healthily and lovingly."
He also announced his remarriage, surprising many who saw it.
Yang Jun-mo said, "During the time I was slowly rebuilding my difficult life, there was a grateful and loving person by my side who became a warm strength and helped me find my smile again. I have come to realize how precious an ordinary day together can be, and I will now become one family with that person and begin a new life."
He also said, "I am truly grateful that I have met someone who will pray with me in joyful and difficult times and walk toward the same place. I thank God who held me and allowed me to love and dream again today."
He continued, "From now on we will be each other's best friends and reliable partners, laugh a lot, love a lot, and live well. Please warmly bless our new start," adding, "For those who could not announce the wedding news directly, if you congratulate us in your hearts it would be a great blessing to me."
Yang Jun-mo also released photos with his wife wearing a wedding dress. The bride is Yang Jiwon of the group Spica. He revealed on his SNS that she is pregnant before marriage. He added, "Forming a family has long been one of the greatest wishes of my heart, and finally I have been allowed to have a family with the person I love."
