Actor Kang Ki-young delivers cheerful laughs in "Revival Man: The Red."
"Revival Man: The Red" (director: Baek, provided/distributed by Lotte Entertainment, produced by Yong Film, co-produced by Super Fiction, YLAB, Studio Nungil) is a film that depicts the story of job seeker Seok-hwan (played by Koo Kyo-hwan), whose only qualification is baseless confidence, discovering after his death that he has the ability to resurrect 72 hours later and then being pursued in a mysterious chase.
Meanwhile, in the work, Kang Ki-young, who has consistently brought uniquely colored characters to life in works such as "Extraordinary Attorney Woo," "The Uncanny Counter," "Exit," and "Wild Sing," breathes life into the drama by playing Seok-hwan's only friend, Young-ha.
Young-ha is a K-worker skilled at office life. He is a loyal friend who, while not hesitating to give blunt facts to his only friend Seok-hwan, is the first to step up when Seok-hwan faces danger. One day, after learning that Seok-hwan, who had been out of contact for three days, has the ability to resurrect, he sets out to help his friend and becomes entangled in a perilous chase.
Known for realistic everyday acting, Kang Ki-young portrays the humane Young-ha and, alongside Seok-hwan actor Koo Kyo-hwan, showcases a fantastic chemistry that will add special fun to the film. Director Baek praised, "If Young-ha had not existed, Seok-hwan would have only existed half as much." Kang Ki-young detailed Young-ha down to his speech and actions as Seok-hwan's closest friend and reliable supporter, raising expectations that he will bring cheerful energy to theaters this fall.
Meanwhile, "Revival Man: The Red" is scheduled to be released on Sep. 30.
