Group TWS(투어스) member Dohun has stepped down from the microphone of MBC music program Show! Music Core, which he had hosted for about 1 year and 5 months.
On the 22nd broadcast he left the MC post; since first joining on March 1 of last year, he had been a source of energy for the program every Saturday with his characteristic bright smile and energetic hosting.
He, who was greatly loved by viewers under the nickname "Dohun-jungsim," left an affectionate farewell through his agency PLEDIS Entertainment Co.: "I was happiest to be able to meet 42 (the fandom name) every Saturday, and it will always remain a good memory. I thank the 42s who always support us. I also thank the production staff and MCs who helped me build many memories and experiences."
On the final broadcast that day, TWS members made a surprise visit, presenting bouquets along with a self-made diploma and a plaque of appreciation, showcasing warm team spirit. After the broadcast, "Dohun-jungsim" ranked on X (formerly Twitter) real-time trends as fans poured out their warm reactions supporting his new start. During his hosting period, Dohun perfectly performed a special stage of Girls' Generation's "Kissing You," and showcased diverse charms by demonstrating seamless chemistry with team members Yeongjae, Jihun and Kyungmin when they served as guest MCs.
Meanwhile, TWS, to which Dohun belongs, released their second Japanese single "SODA SODA" on the 4th and continues their global activities. Also, through the Asia tour "24/7:FOR:YOU," which opened with a Seoul concert in June, they are smoothly touring 15 performances across eight Asian cities — Fukuoka, Hyogo, Kanagawa, Macau, Bangkok, Singapore, Kaohsiung and others.
