Former basketball player Woo Ji-won's daughter Woo Seo-yoon was crowned the winner (jin) at the 70th Miss Korea pageant, and attention is also being paid to her past appearances and activities.
Woo Seo-yoon was crowned jin at the final of the 70th Miss Korea selection contest held on the 22nd at the COEX Auditorium in Gangnam District, Seoul.
Miss Korea is the most historic event that selects women representing Korea, known as "Korea's greatest beauty festival." Since the first contest was held in May 1957 and it has been held every year without fail, the winners produced through the 70th Miss Korea selection contest will act as representative female leaders of Korea who lead domestic and international entertainment and beauty industries with not only outward beauty but also Jisung, dignity and talent and various charms.
Woo Seo-yoon won two awards, Miss Seoul·Gyeonggi·Incheon good (seon) and the Daily Labs award, becoming a two-time winner and earning a spot in the finals. At the time, Woo Seo-yoon said, "I am even more grateful and honored to receive an award on this glorious stage of the 70th anniversary," and added, "I will not forget my gratitude and will continue to show you a more grown version of myself."
Competing against 26 candidates in the Miss Korea finals, Woo Seo-yoon ultimately wore the honorable jin crown. Woo Seo-yoon said, "Honestly, I did not expect this at all. My fellow 70th class members worked so hard and I am so happy. I am grateful to my family and friends for their support and encouragement. I think it was a stage created by the hard work and effort of so many people."
Now 22 years old, Woo Seo-yoon is the daughter of former basketball player Woo Ji-won and is majoring in fine arts at Tufts University in the United States. Dreaming of becoming a global art curator, Woo Seo-yoon gained recognition appearing on multiple broadcasts with her father Woo Ji-won.
Woo Seo-yoon appeared on Star Junior Show Bung-eo-ppang and made an impression with her clear speaking skills and lovable looks, and after becoming an adult she appeared on tvN STORY·E Channel "When Ourkids Fallinlove" and drew attention for her tall visuals that strongly resemble her father's height and distinct features.
Resembling her father Woo Ji-won, who boasts a tall height of 191cm, Woo Seo-yoon stands 173cm tall and became the symbolic figure of the 70th Miss Korea with her exceptional physique, dazzling visuals and the intelligence and artistic sensibility befitting an overseas art major.
From "Woo Ji-won's daughter" to now a symbol of beauty representing Korea as Miss Korea Woo Seo-yoon, it is attracting attention whether she will follow her original dream of becoming a global art curator or use this opportunity to actively pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
