Actress Park Won-sook reflected on her marriage and candidly said that if she could go back to the past she probably would not get married.
On the 21st, a video titled 'Park Won-sook, the truth behind rumors of retirement from the entertainment industry?' was released on the YouTube channel Park Won-sook channel. On that day, while answering various questions sent by subscribers, Park Won-sook also spoke frankly about her views on marriage.
Park Won-sook recalled that when she was young she vaguely wanted to meet a stylish person. But her thinking changed significantly after experiencing married life. In response to a question about what choice she would make if she could start her life over, Park Won-sook replied, "If I went back, I don't think I would get married." She even used the strong phrase "truly a pit of hardship" to describe marriage.
The reason was not simply the difficulty of living together as a couple. Park Won-sook explained that living alone is not easy, yet two different people must adjust to live together, and if children are born the responsibility of having to be good parents follows. She honestly said about the role of parents, "Even now I'm not confident." She shared the weight she felt in life, saying that trying to raise children according to parents' desires can instead make things harder.
Park Won-sook also said, "I only came to understand why you must observe the proper age for marriage when I was close to 80," and shared thoughts about marriage that she developed only after a long time had passed.
Meanwhile, Park Won-sook experienced marriage and divorce twice. Her only son from her first marriage died in a traffic accident in 2003, and she has repeatedly expressed on broadcasts the pain of losing her son, which moved many.
