The group's new release by ENHYPEN swept domestic and international album·song charts upon release, proving a powerful comeback impact.
On the 22nd, according to Hanteo Chart, a site that tallies album sales, ENHYPEN (Jungwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Niki)'s mini eighth album 'THE SIN : BLISS' recorded first-day sales of 1,774,829 copies on the day after its release, ranking first on the daily chart. With this, ENHYPEN has set the green light for their fifth overall 'double million seller.'
They also achieved notable results on overseas charts. 'THE SIN : BLISS' topped iTunes' 'Top Albums' chart in 23 countries and regions, including Brazil, Japan, Malaysia and Türkiye, and appeared on charts in a total of 41 countries and regions. On Japan's Line Music real-time 'Album Top 100,' it rose as high as No. 2 and has maintained a top ranking.
On the song charts, new and existing tracks showed strong performance side by side. The title track "Bloody Paradise" shot to No. 1 on Bugs' real-time chart immediately after its release. Notably, six tracks from the album occupied positions one through six in succession, demonstrating formidable streaming power. With ENHYPEN's comeback, previously popular songs such as "Knife," "Outside," "No Doubt," and "Polaroid Love" re-entered the charts and charted upward again.
The title track "Bloody Paradise" also made its presence felt on global charts. It reached No. 1 on iTunes' 'Top Songs' chart in 13 countries and regions, including Thailand, Argentina and the Philippines, and entered charts in a total of 26 countries and regions. On Line Music's real-time 'Song Top 100,' it has steadily climbed the rankings since release and settled within the top 10.
Through 'THE SIN : BLISS,' ENHYPEN showcases an expanded musical world and solid storytelling. This album organically presents the story across 10 tracks of lovers who, having broken taboos and chosen an unprecedented escape, come to realize that "being together itself is a blessing (Bliss)."
The title track "Bloody Paradise" portrays lovers who look only at each other amid crisis and expresses their situation as paradise. ENHYPEN broke away from their previous "refined darkness" and widened their musical spectrum by venturing into a new genre attempt called Brazilian punk.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN will appear on MBC's "Show! Music Core" today (the 22nd) to perform the new song "Bloody Paradise."
