The daughter of former basketball player Woo Ji-won, Woo Seo-yoon, was crowned Miss Korea.
Woo Seo-yoon swept headlines after being crowned Miss Korea at the 70th Miss Korea pageant held at COEX Auditorium in Gangnam, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 22nd. Woo Seo-yoon had earlier won the runner-up title in Miss Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon 2026.
After being crowned Miss Korea, Woo Seo-yoon said she "did not expect it at all," adding, "I think I was able to complete a great stage through painstaking effort stitch by stitch. It was a stage created by the hard work and effort of so many people."
Woo Seo-yoon is the daughter of Woo Ji-won and is majoring in fine art at Tufts University in the United States. She previously appeared on Star Junior Show Bungeoppang and earlier this year appeared on the cable channel E program "When Ourkids Fallinlove".
Since being crowned Miss Korea, Woo Seo-yoon has been receiving significant attention.
