BOYNEXTDOOR's new Japanese single is proving globally popular as it is receiving a heated response domestically as well.
The title track of BOYNEXTDOOR (Seongho, Liu, Myeong Jaehyun, Taesan, Ihan, Unhak)'s second Japanese digital single "Boom Boom Boom" entered Korea YouTube's "daily popular music video" at No. 1 on the 18th. The new song released in Japan climbed to the top of domestic charts, making tangible the high level of interest toward BOYNEXTDOOR.
"Boom Boom Boom" has been receiving a hot response in Japan as well immediately after its official release on the 18th. A day before the release, on the 17th, they first unveiled the new song performance on TBS's "CDTV Live! Live!", and favorable reviews such as "it captures the J-pop vibe well" continued to appear mainly on social media.
On the HYBE Labels YouTube channel music video, a variety of reactions poured in, including "it's surprising how perfect the Japanese pronunciation is even at a fast tempo," "the music, choreography and music video are all perfect," and "I don't know idols well but I came to watch the music video because I like the song," drawing attention.
They are also continuing smooth sailing on major Japanese music charts. "Boom Boom Boom" is a song that captures the energy of vibrant youth. The six members convey a message with delicate tones that they should write their own stories without regret. Irregular rhythms, a pouring melody and dazzling piano lines combine to add to the song's diverse charms.
BOYNEXTDOOR's activities continue on stage. They are meeting local fans through the Japan leg of their first world tour, BOYNEXTDOOR Tour 'Knock On Vol.2' in Japan. Starting in Kanagawa, they will tour a total of six cities — Saga, Osaka, Miyagi, Nagano and Chiba — and perform.
