The group ENHYPEN showcased a powerful transformation with an unrestrained sprint toward freedom.
ENHYPEN (Jeongwon, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Niki) released the music video for the title track "Bloody Paradise" from their mini album No. 8, THE SIN : BLISS, at 12 a.m. on the HYBE Labels official YouTube channel on the 22nd.
The "Bloody Paradise" music video focuses on visually unraveling the ironic emotions derived from its paradoxical title. ENHYPEN vividly captured everything from moments in which they keep a composed gaze even among prisoners scattering in confusion to scenes of them sprinting toward freedom, savoring complete liberation after their transgression.
In particular, they draw attention by breaking away from ENHYPEN's previous "refined darkness" to emit a wilder, more unrestrained "raw energy." The intense visuals and freewheeling atmosphere combined to maximize their new charm.
The exotic scenery filmed in Peru also heightened the immersion. Various locations appear, including an outdoor space overlooking the expansive sea and markets that strongly evoke the local atmosphere, while vivid colors and vintage mise-en-scène more clearly brought out the song's distinctive mood.
The cathartic performance is also the highlight of the music video. Dance scenes that capture rough, feral energy to the primal rhythms characteristic of Brazilian punk unfold, dramatically expressing ENHYPEN's transgression and freedom.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN released their mini album No. 8, THE SIN : BLISS, on the 21st and began full-scale activities. ENHYPEN is scheduled to appear on MBC's Show! Music Core today (the 22nd) to perform the title track "Bloody Paradise."
Along with promotions for the new release, interest in their previous songs has reignited. The music video for ENHYPEN's mini album No. 6, DESIRE : UNLEASH, title track "No Doubt" surpassed 100 million cumulative views on YouTube on the 20th.
With this, ENHYPEN now has their fourth music video to reach 100 million views, following "Bite Me," "Drunk-Dazed," and "FEVER," with "No Doubt."
