The group NewJeans surpassed 8 billion cumulative Spotify streams.
ADOR said on the 22nd, "According to Spotify, the total play count of all songs released by NewJeans was 8,020,095,363 as of the 18th. It is an achievement about 4 years and 1 month after their debut."
Thus NewJeans set another meaningful milestone. They in March 2023, at the time the shortest period for a K-pop artist (219 days) since debut, reached 1 billion cumulative streams in eight months and were listed in the Guinness World Records.
