Shin Seung-ho shows a face never seen before in Resurrection Man.
Shin Seung-ho takes on a striking transformation as the mysterious character "Black" in Resurrection Man: The Red (director Baek, distributed by Lotte Entertainment, produced by Yong Film, co-produced by Superfiction·YLAB·Studio Nungil), a film that delivers satisfying, punchy action to theaters this fall.
Resurrection Man: The Red is a film that tells the story of job seeker "Seok-hwan" (Koo Kyo-hwan), whose only qualification is unfounded confidence, discovering after his death that he has the ability to resurrect within 72 hours and then being pursued in a mysterious chase. Shin Seung-ho, who left a strong impression with his wide range of roles that cross good and evil in D.P., Tale of the Nine Tailed: The Wedding (Hwanhon), and Pilot, takes on another acting transformation as the mysterious character "Black" in Resurrection Man: The Red.
Shin Seung-ho, known for his heavy presence, immerses himself in a character who does not easily show emotion, and alongside Koo Kyo-hwan as "Seok-hwan," he will provide varied spectacle with punchy action.
Director Baek said, "Actor Shin Seung-ho prepared meticulously over a long period, down to lines, pronunciation and vocal tone, and that process played a major role in creating the atmosphere of 'Black,'" and Shin Seung-ho not only prepared a vocal tone suited to the character's personality and mood but also perfectly performed English and Japanese lines to complete a character with an overwhelming presence, expressing the inapproachable aura unique to "Black" and injecting tension into the film.
Meanwhile, Shin Seung-ho returns to audiences with the action film Resurrection Man: The Red following April's release of Jjang-gu this year. A very different character and performance from previous works promise a new side of him.
