Singer and broadcaster Sean completed the 81.5 km run in commemoration of Liberation Day.
On the 20th, a video titled "Why am I running 81.5 km?" was posted on the YouTube channel 'Sean Together'. That day, Sean and many runners marked the seventh 815 run.
The production staff asked Sean, "When preparing for this run, didn't you get injured a month ago? How serious is the injury?" Sean answered, "My condition is fine today."
He added, "But at the worst time, walking after running was uncomfortable. There was pain, so I used to limp in daily life," and added, "Still, I am in much better condition. If it gets too painful later, I'll crawl to finish (the run)," which drew surprise.
Sean's challenge began in 2020 with a promise to build the 100th house for descendants of independence activists; this year it is planned to reach the 33rd house, and he has continued the challenge for seven years.
He said, "I am grateful and happy that more people join each year," and started running at 5 a.m. Sean noted, "From the third group to the sixth group, children participate in order," drawing attention.
After passing the turnaround point, cramps occurred in Sean's injured leg, heightening concern. Medical staff who saw Sean's leg after he persevered to complete the 81.5 km said, "I wonder how he ran with this leg. The muscle seems to be damaged," expressing concern. Hearing this, Sean laughed and said, "If it weren't for that, I could have run better."
