Group Super Junior member Choi Si-won directly stopped a foreigner who was about to smoke a cigarette at Gyeongbokgung.
Choi Si-won recently released content titled "Rainy palace tour, Gyeongbokgung (feat. Yang In-uk teacher)" on his YouTube channel.
In this content, Choi Si-won went on a Gyeongbokgung tour with cultural history narrator Yang In-uk. Choi Si-won introduced, "I had been personally following the teacher on social media and respected him very much. He loves Korea's history and culture so much, and his devotion became a great example."
After greetings, Yang In-uk immediately began explaining Gyeongbokgung to Choi Si-won and the staff. Based on the prepared materials, he began the tour by explaining the history and significance of Gyeongbokgung.
Even after moving to Gyeongbokgung, Yang In-uk's commentary continued. While Choi Si-won was listening to an explanation about the seosu in front of Gyeongbokgung, he was startled to see a foreigner about to smoke.
Choi Si-won asked, "Is it okay to smoke there?" When Yang In-uk replied, "No," he immediately stopped the foreigner. Choi Si-won quickly approached the foreigner and said, "Excuse me, please, please (Excuse me, Please Please)," to stop the smoking. The foreigner understood the meaning and immediately put the cigarette down, and Choi Si-won said "thank you" again.
Afterward, Choi Si-won continued the Gyeongbokgung tour with Yang In-uk. After finishing the tour, Yang In-uk said, "What we say like this and an influential person introducing our culture have a much greater impact.
