In Boss in the Mirror, kimchi master Park Mi-hee was revealed to have been the housekeeper for the late Kim Woo-choong, chairman of Daewoo Group.
On the 23rd, KBS 2TV's Boss in the Mirror (directed by Choi Seung-hee, hereafter "Boss in the Mirror") will reveal the story of Park Mi-hee, who achieved about 50 billion won in annual sales and built a kimchi business success story.
Park Mi-hee was selected as a master of food processing in 2024 and was designated kimchi master No. 98 in 2025 for early kimchi. She is introduced as a self-made icon who built her own territory solely through skill and taste without any special background.
That day, Park Mi-hee revealed her turbulent life story from childhood, saying, "I moved alone from Jeju to Seoul at 16." After working in the kitchen of a textile factory, she even revealed that she once worked as a housekeeper at the home of the late Daewoo Group chairman Kim Woo-choong.
Park Mi-hee recalled, "At a young age I took care of the household at the chairman's large house all by myself," showing that she had extraordinary responsibility and life skills from childhood.
In particular, when she said, "I worked so well that among the chairmen I was rumored to be 'Itaewon Miss Park,'" Kim Sook reportedly could not contain her admiration, saying, "How well would you have had to work at such a young age to earn that reputation?"
The kimchi master's special early kimchi recipe will also be revealed on the broadcast. When those around her asked, "Is it okay to reveal all the secrets?" Park Mi-hee showed confidence, saying, "Even with the recipe, can you follow it exactly?"
She emphasized, "No one can ever match my hand taste," expressing strong pride in the know-how she accumulated over decades, which left everyone impressed.
From moving alone from Jeju at 16 and working as a housekeeper to becoming a kimchi entrepreneur and master with 50 billion won in annual sales. Park Mi-hee's life reversal story and special early kimchi recipe can be seen in the Boss in the Mirror main broadcast.
