Television personality Lee Sugeun's wife, Ms. Park Ji-yeon, shared an emotional update ahead of the first anniversary of her kidney re-transplant surgery.
On the 20th, Ms. Park Ji-yeon posted a photo on her SNS saying, "Tomorrow marks exactly one year since the surgery."
In the released photo, a corner of the house showed a positive phrase printed and posted that read, "When you drink your first glass of water in the morning, think "thank you" in your heart! You will be grateful for the day!"
Ms. Park Ji-yeon said, "Today I cooked at home, printed good phrases, laminated them and placed them around the house," and added the resolve, "I'll live the coming days coolly! Good night, everyone," while not forgetting a warm greeting to her fans.
Ms. Park Ji-yeon received a kidney transplant from her father after her kidney function deteriorated due to preeclampsia during her second pregnancy in 2011. However, the transplant did not take well, and she continued long-term dialysis treatment; in 2021 medical staff recommended re-transplantation. Then, 14 years after the first transplant, in August 2025, she successfully underwent a re-transplant operation through a kidney donation from her older brother.
As she recovered her health and marked the first anniversary of the surgery, many people have offered warm support for Ms. Park Ji-yeon's positive update and resolve.
Meanwhile, Ms. Park Ji-yeon married television personality Lee Sugeun in 2008 and has two sons.
