'I'm SOLO' season 16 contestant Oksun announced her split four months after remarrying.
On the 20th, season 16 Oksun posted a long message on her social media and said, "In March, I announced my marriage and said we would not hold a wedding ceremony. At that time we had also registered our marriage, but when my parents learned of that, because I had once suffered greatly due to a transfer, they told me not to rush into this and to think more slowly and carefully. I, too, could not take my parents' words lightly because I had always been mindful that my previous matter had caused them worry and hurt, and at that time we also withdrew the marriage registration," she said.
She continued, "After that, we lived together as usual. As time spent together passed, small incompatibilities arose, and although we tried to adjust to each other and talked a lot, after long deliberation and conversations we decided to go our separate ways," announcing the breakup.
Earlier, season 16 Oksun announced in March that she had married a partner with whom she had a 20-year relationship. Last July, after becoming pregnant before marriage with her fiancé and then suffering a miscarriage, she announced her remarriage in April this year with a photo of the marriage registration form and the words "we have truly become a married couple." She later showed off an expensive designer bag and a foreign car received from her husband while expressing affection, but ultimately the marriage ended.
Season 16 Oksun said, "This was not due to any one person's fault, nor is it a relationship that ended with hatred or bad feelings toward each other. I am grateful for the time we spent together and the feelings we received from each other, and now I sincerely hope we will be happier in our respective places, so we agreed to part on good terms," and added, "When I announced my marriage and said I would not hold a wedding ceremony and would instead share the expense with those who supported me, I remember saying that. It was a promise I wanted to keep, but due to unexpected changes in circumstances afterwards, I could not carry out the plan as intended," expressing regret.
She said, "Although this is my personal matter, many people sincerely congratulated me and shared in my joy, so I thought it would be disrespectful to those feelings to pass without any word. It is cautious and heavyhearted to convey such news again in a short time, but because this was a decision we both discussed and made, we decided to respect each other's choices and future lives," she said.
She added, "I have not forgotten the sincere congratulations for my new beginning last spring. I sincerely thank everyone who warmly celebrated and supported me. From now on I will be more devoted to my work and my life and greet you in a better state," and asked, "Because this is a delicate personal matter, I would appreciate it if you could view it kindly."
However, season 16 Oksun added in a follow-up post, "Some articles are describing this as a 'second divorce,' and I want to correct that. As I said before, after registering our marriage we listened to my parents and immediately withdrew it, and afterwards we got along well for a time but separated because of incompatibilities. Therefore, describing this as a 'second divorce' is not factual, and I hope this part is not conveyed incorrectly," she explained.
