YouTuber Yu Ggaet-ip expressed anger at the excessive meddling surrounding her breast surgery.
On the 20th, Yu Ggaet-ip posted on her social account "No, you keep acting like I had that surgery many times like some pathological case, but maybe because I had big ones twice.. I had contouring, breasts, double eyelids. Why do you keep saying I keep touching things up?"
Previously, Yu Ggaet-ip had shared that she consulted about a breast revision surgery. However, after a flood of responses criticizing her frequent plastic surgeries, it appears she moved to explain herself.
Yu Ggaet-ip said she was baffled, "People say they liked my distinctive face before and whatever and feel sorry, and there's nothing to be done about that. What can I do about what I already had done? It's my face and it's fine as long as I like it. In person it looks much better. I'm short, and I disliked a sharp, model-like face that would suit taller people, so I had contouring. If I were taller I might not have done it. Isn't revision surgery something I can do if I'm uncomfortable..?"
She captured a comment that said, "You say you work because child support is lacking, so what money do you always use for surgeries?" and clarified, "When I usually see comments like this I either ignore them or respond nicely, one of the two. Ha haha. I work to earn money, pay child support, and have revision surgery — is that something a stranger who doesn't even know me should question negatively like this? From the start I said I needed a stable income rather than that I was lacking, so" making clear that she did not take a part-time job because she had no money to pay child support.
She added in anger, "Well, people can be curious. But isn't this something to ask carefully even among friends or acquaintances? Would you say that to your real-world acquaintances or people around you? I'm tired of always answering with a smile~ It's also strange that people who usually don't care about the things I post rush in like crazy only at times like this?"
In response to a malicious comment saying, "Spend this time taking care of your child. What's the point if you're satisfying your boyfriend," she retorted, "What's wrong with this person's intelligence. Was breast surgery a procedure to satisfy a boyfriend/husband? What's wrong with you," and fired back at malicious comments disguised as concern, "Please, please, please, if you are really genuinely worried or curious about something, ask politely. Is that difficult? If you don't like seeing it, unfollow me, please."
Yu Ggaet-ip married fellow YouTuber Choi Go in 2016 but divorced in 2020. Custody of their daughter Sol-ip was given to Choi Go, and Yu Ggaet-ip spends time with her daughter periodically through visitation. She recently revealed she is working part time at a café to secure a steady income for her daughter's support, and also said she is dating her current boyfriend, who is the café owner.
