Singer and actor Kim Min-jong appears to be laying the groundwork for restoring his reputation after releasing a recording and followed by past on-set staff testimony praising him.
Recently, in the comments section of an online video, a post by on-set staff member A, who worked with Kim Min-jong during the filming of "Firenze," drew attention. A, who identified themselves as a staff member of the movie "Firenze," said that Kim Min-jong decided to appear "no-guarantee" despite it being a low-budget film and quietly and diligently completed filming.
A recalled Kim Min-jong's character on set, saying, "He always paid for meals out of his own pocket to support the hardworking staff and did not spare warm consideration," and added that after learning belatedly of Kim Min-jong's forced withdrawal, "Seeing the public attack, the gap between the person I observed on set and the person being portrayed is so large and regrettable that I am leaving this post."
According to Kim Min-jong's side, after being publicly accused by MC MONG in May of being involved in illegal gambling, Kim Min-jong suffered embarrassment, including being dropped from a newly cast film. At the time, Kim Min-jong insisted it was "a clear falsehood," expressed his grievance and immediately announced legal action.
The atmosphere then reversed. In a recording recently released by a YouTuber, Kim Min-jong was revealed to have said that he was merely a visitor and, in essence, "did not touch the sticks or chips," producing circumstances that overturn the existing claims.
A representative said, "Furthermore, when the on-set staff's 'no-guarantee anecdote' surfaced, public and industry views of Kim Min-jong also began to turn," they said.<
