A Trap Called Desire's Jang Seo-hee's meticulous scheme escalates.
The 8th episode of the KBS 2TV daily drama A Trap Called Desire, directed by Lee Dae-kyung and Jung Kwang-su and written by Koo Ji-won, airing at 7:50 p.m. on the 19th, depicts Jang Seo-hee revealing her dark intentions once again for Kang Hae-ra (played by Joo Saebyeok) and Jeon Hye-won's story as she digs into the truth surrounding the death of Park Hee-jung (played by Suh You-jung).
In the previous broadcast, a tragedy unfolded when Park Hee-jung, the foster mother of Go Eun-seol who became entangled in Joo Mi-ran's plot, died. Afterward, Go Eun-seol was imprisoned on a murder charge, but even in her desperate situation after losing everything, she vowed to uncover the truth hidden in Park Hee-jung's death.
Ignored even by her family, Go Eun-seol began tracking down the false witness Lee Jeong-tae, a key figure in the case, to prove her innocence. She went to his mother in person and inquired about his whereabouts, struggling to find clues and heightening the tension.
In this episode, Go Eun-seol, confident in her innocence and together with Seo Hyun-jae (played by Jang Se-hyun), persistently probes into Lee Jeong-tae's whereabouts. Even when they cannot find decisive clues, they do not stop the pursuit, raising interest in whether they can locate Lee Jeong-tae and obtain the decisive evidence to clear her of the murder charge.
A surprise meeting between Go Eun-seol and Cha Seok-jin (played by Seol Junghwan) is also teased. Released stills show the two appearing to be in the same space, prompting curiosity about whether they actually face each other again. As the fates of the two people, whose paths diverged after their school days, intertwine once more, attention focuses on what changes this will bring to their relationship.
Meanwhile, Joo Mi-ran plans to use even her daughter Kang Hae-ra's feelings to achieve her goals and lure Cha Seok-jin into Cheongma Group. Having committed murder to protect her secret and framed Go Eun-seol for the crime, she now again shakes the board by exploiting the fact that Kang Hae-ra cannot let go of Cha Seok-jin.
Attention is focused on what results Jang Seo-hee's meticulous scheme, which uses even her daughter's emotions and Cha Seok-jin as means to fulfill her desires, will bring and what move she will make next.
Also captured are Kang Young-hoon (played by Yoo Tae-woong), Kim Jung-sun (played by Yoon Hae-young), and Kang Hae-ra gathered in one place to lead Cheongma Group. With a serious atmosphere hanging between the three, curiosity rises over what has happened surrounding Cheongma Group.
