"OK! Let's Get Divorced" Rhee Minjung and Kim Ji-seok reveal the hidden cracks in their family in front of many people.
Today (19th) at 11 p.m., the premiere of "OK! Let's Get Divorced" (directed by Joo Seong-woo, written by Hwang Ji-eon) depicts the real divorce experience of a wedding dress shop owner couple who decide to put an end to their exhausted marriage.
The stills released ahead of the premiere captured the serious conflict between Baek Mi-young (Rhee Minjung) and Ji Won-ho (Kim Ji-seok), foreshadowing the cold reality of a couple facing divorce.
In this episode, the already deep emotional rift between Baek Mi-young and Ji Won-ho is fully revealed. Facing a variety show shoot in which both will appear, Baek Mi-young tries to calm the highly excited Ji Won-ho, but it does not go as planned. Instead, sharp criticism pours out at Ji Won-ho, which further worsens the situation.
Ignoring Baek Mi-young's awkward position, Ji Won-ho puts his own emotions first and eventually engages in a public marital fight with his wife in front of many onlookers. As the couple's carefully concealed conflicts burst into the open and heighten tension, curiosity grows about what incident pushed Ji Won-ho to such an outburst.
A piece of the past that made the two grow apart is also unveiled. In the released stills, Baek Mi-young is gripping a knife and sobbing, drawing viewers' attention. Her hollow gaze, as if she has lost the will to live, conveys deep wounds and pain that are hard to gauge.
Attention focuses on why Baek Mi-young, who had an enviable married life, ended up holding a knife and where its tip was aimed in their precarious past.
Baek Mi-young and Ji Won-ho fell in love passionately and became lifelong partners. But within the realities of married life, the two gradually began to wear down. Repeated conflicts, drying emotions and a major event that shook their lives overlapped, and ultimately they let each other go.
