Actor Hong Min-gi is embroiled in allegations of dating violence, and an influencer identified as A, who claimed to be a former partner, has come forward with additional accusations.
On the 19th, A disclosed on their social media (SNS) what they claimed to have experienced while dating Hong Min-gi.
A said, "(Hong Min-gi) proudly made anachronistic remarks such as 'I am a patriotic conservative, but I do like the implementation of a volunteer military system' and 'Men are the sky, women are the ground.'" A also added claims that he made disparaging comments about women, insulted A's fans, and abused his own pet dog.
A also said, "Even after the relationship ended, I was tormented by guilt because I thought Hong Min-gi's panic disorder stemmed from me," adding, "I knelt and apologized, but Hong Min-gi used profanity and kicked objects around, and even after we broke up he tried to have sex."
A continued, "In the end, I told my parents everything and proceeded with legal action," adding, "I hope he acknowledges his wrongdoing and sincerely apologizes." The post has since been deleted.
Previously, A disclosed a document that A said was sent to Hong Min-gi through a law firm. The document contained claims that during their relationship Hong Min-gi threw a soju bottle at A, made dozens of phone calls and issued threats while suspecting a relationship with an ex-boyfriend, and committed dating violence.
However, the allegations raised by A have not been verified so far. Hong Min-gi's agency, Fable Company, said it is "organizing its position."
Born in 2002, Hong Min-gi debuted in 2020 and appeared in tvN's "Love Your Enemy," Tving's "Study Group," MBC's "Crushology 101," and Netflix's "Unmasked," among others.
